There is a certain numbness gripping us now, and everyone I talk to feels sort of guilty about getting on with life...which we must do. And the little interests that we have, whatever they may be -- chatting about our favorite entertainer -- can't be seen as disrespectful. I don't want to be a victem, or put my life on hold because a group of people don't appreciate the joy of a free society. Regardless of whether you take a pacifist view or retaliatory view, no one is honored if we live in fear.

I finally got to watch the CCMA show and loved Gord's segment -- you Canadians have lots of video and photos we've never seen down here! I'm jealous.

I think we need the small details of our ordinary lives. Pause and enjoy the moment...as much as we remember where we were the morning of Sept. 11, we will note the first plane we next see in the sky. I'd rather see shapes in the clouds.
