Having lived in Toronto and area for all my life I've been blessed with my annual and then later on the 18 month concerts at Massey and never was without Lightfoot since I was 15. His music is played here in Toronto on the "soft-Rock" stations and oldies stations but it's the same old "hits." I never hear any of the "newer" stuff and don't expect to. I think this is fine with Lightfoot- he always has been a musician who pleases his own soul first and if the song happens to be a "hit" then that's just gravy. His integrity has always come through in his music. I think I'll raise my glass on New Year's Eve and play my video of him singing Auld Lang Syne from a few New Years Eves ago. His recover and that should be just the right note to welcome 2003!
