How many people here lost track of Gord during the 80s, then discovered him again via the Internet?
I lost track of Gord in the late 70s, because my husband didn't like any type of music except old C&W. Years later, I got rid of the husband and was at a jam session where someone played IYCRMM. This was probably in early 1998 or so. A few days later, while looking for the lyrics to IYCRMM, a song that I had forgotten even existed, I found Val Magee's and Wayne Francis' websites, and was shocked to see that I'd missed 20 years of Gord's music, and that he was still touring. Since then I've been to just about every Gord concert in the Northeast, including Massey Hall.
Had I not come across these fan websites, I'd still be in the dark.
