I think it aired on CBC and was called "Floating over Canada." It also featured Buffy Saint-Marie and Levon Helm (he sang Acadien Driftwood.

Here is a line from the Canadian Encyclopedia about Murray: "He returned to the hinterland theme for the CBC TV travelogue/music video Floating Over Canada in 1985."

It was really delightful hour-long special.
