No Char, you gotta go bid on it! I find this just terribly sad. Sam's is the first place I visited in Toronto, I flew in that day, and had the taxi drop my suitcase off at a hotel,then take me straight there. GL was doing a rare cd signing, and it was the day that APPT was released. I can't express the excitement I felt that day, and walking into Sam's was almost surreal. I bought some cds, stood in line, and tried to remember every sight and sound even though I was on sensory overload!
Sam's was the place I got to shake GL's hand for the first time, the place where I met my first "invisible friend" and fellow Lighthead from the old AOL chat room, Plumbguru (Doug).
I will always have great memories of Sams, and managed to go in and drop quite a bit of money each and every time I've been in Toronto. It's almost impossible to imagine that area without it.
I wonder who will be lucky enough to get some of those great counters upstairs? I wish I could be there, I'd love to have something from there. At least I have pictures and memories, and a lot of cds!
