We should each make up our own "flawless" album of 10 songs from all his many albums. I've tried making up playlists before with the 10 songs that for me, are the very best of GL, but it sure ain't easy.

I'm curious to read how many (including me) have listed Don Quixote as their choice for flawless. The reason I chose it is because I believe it was made at a time when he was on the cusp of hitting it really big (Sundown, two years later) and just at the end of his "early" period. He still had the edge of youth but the wisdom of being in his mid-30s was showing nicely.

His voice is so warm and rich on every Don Quixote track and the clean guitar work from everyone is truly amazing. I also love the "real" strings used and find the arrangements go so well with the songs without overpowering.

This is the album I'd take to a desert island (Sundown would be my second if I could take two).
