Florian, I have heard Gord tell the thunderstorm in Cleveland story many times and yes it does snow A LOT in Cleveland in the winter!
He said he was staying at a friends place while he was doing a couple of shows and he started to write about snow and winter and this huge thunderstorm started happening outside the building.
