Actually, Pollstar isn't 100% accurate either. I've seen concerts move and even disappear from Pollstar's listings (including Lightfoot concerts). However, this isn't unusual. Some concert dates move around or even get cancelled after they are "announced".

Pollstar only accept dates from "official sources" which usually means the artist's booking agent or management. Booking agents often announce dates for which contracts are not yet signed, but which are considered "solid". Venues almost never announce dates until everything is signed. So in most cases, when you see something at Pollstar, it will eventually show up in the venue's listings.

Also, there is often another player - the promoter - and he or she might not want to announce the concert until closer to the performance date.
