I was listening to Summer Side of Life and was multi-tasking while I was listening, so I wasn't really paying too much attention to lyrics or anything, just the music. So, Cabaret is on, it's beauuuuutiful. I heard it several times before, but, never really thought about it. So, I'm listening. The beginning is so gentle, so lilting. Then, in a few minutes, what do I hear??? THE ZIPPO!!! Or was someone *thought* was a Zippo!! It was quite clear that it was someone popping the tab on a can of some tasty beverage, swallowing, then saying, "Ahh." I got a good laugh from that!
Also, it's coincidental that I had been visiting Liona Boyd's website earlier today. I admit I've never heard of her before. Her guitar playing is extraordinary! Just beautiful music! It was classical guitar, like Spanish guitar I think. So, that's what I was thinking while I was listening to the beginning part of Cabaret when it ended and I heard THE ZIPPO!! Or I should say, the ALLEGED Zippo!! Anyway, thanks for the chuckle. I did read all the back posts on this subject, so I'm in the know!!
