I can't figure how Lightfoot would warrant/qualify for a star on the Walk of Fame in the States...
one criteria is a contribution to the community and then the sponsorship fee is 15 grand.
And I doubt if he'd care about it..He's got one here at home where he's stayed all of his life.
he was nominated, votes were taken from the public and he was honoured (free of charge) in the first year we had the stars awarded.
The Songwriters Hall of Fame would be more apropos.
Clint probably doesn't care about the Walk of Fame..he's that kind of guy...humble, hard working...I bet the 'offer' has passed his desk and he's declined it.
I am going to start working on getting a Canadian postage stamp with Lightfoot's image on it soon.
