Many of you may not know this but there is a very good chance that the next mayor of Chicago will be Lori Lightfoot. As of this writing on March 25, 2019, she is way ahead of her opponent. Both candidates, Lori Lightfoot and Toni Prekwinkle are black women. I don't know a whole lot about Lori's background, but I suspect not a lot of African-American people have a surname of Lightfoot. I'll do some research, but I find this to be a very intriguing situation. The election is April 2nd.
