Default Re: Massey Hall - 124th Birthday!

Yes a great historic video and I felt that I wanted to keep a copy on my hard drive to play whilst the rest of you are enjoying the real thing shortly, as like Melissa we cannot make it this time. so I copied the URL of the video as posted by Char and simply pasted it into the search box of
http://https://www.telechargerunevideo.com/en/
then let it chunter away (just what is "chunter" en francais??)
until it reached the quality selection stage

I selected the 360p setting then it downloaded an mp4 of 49.8MB that I then easily converted using the freeware SSVC (Super Simple Video Converter) to my preferred format of a .avi container file of 127MB encoded with the DivX CODEC.
here is a file analysis by the equally freeware YAAI

The same procedure works well with any YouTube video that you might wish to save (usually for offline viewing or on another "device")
Any and all problems please ask me.
I have also nowuploaded the avi file I created to the same folder on my website as the two screenshots shown above.
