Default Xmas Day fire on Australia's Great Ocean Rd

http://www.9news.com.au/national/201...uter-melb-fire

This is occurring now on Australia's south-east coast, around 2 hours south-west of Melbourne. Already 50-60 homes lost. The biggest holiday town, Lorne, has been evacuated. The Great Ocean Road is closed from Torquay to Skenes Creek (just short of Apollo Bay). This coast suffered the loss of many lives and homes in the Ash Wednesday bushfires of Feb1983. And today has a similar combination of high temperatures, strong north winds, an evening wind change and unusually abundant forest fuel (combustible gum trees, etc). Our state, Victoria, is the bushfire capital of the world.
