Orillia's musical legend home boy Gordon Lightfoot made a surprise appearance Saturday at 6 p.m. on the main stage at the Mariposa Folk Festival. With the sun in his eyes, he sang three songs after telling the crowd, "Reports of my death are greatly overrated." The crowd rose from the grass, pressed in for photos and clapped and cheered for Lightfoot before he left the stage.
