Just heard this on the radio over here [UK] and remember a story Paul McCartney relayed about learning to play the guitar. Paul is southpaw and was trying to play guitar right handed and having some difficulty. He saw a picture of Slim Whitman playing guitar left handed. So Paul restrung his guitar for left hand playing and the rest is history.
Also in the above article it mentions the 11 week stay at No. one for Indian Love Call, The article got it wrong. It was Rose Marie, that remained at No. one for 11 weeks a record over here until Bryan Adams broke it with Everything I Do I Do For You.
