"Down on the boondocks" is the first song I remembered as a child... I believe i was 6 years old when it came out and I loved it. Until today, I didn't know that it was written by the same man who wrote "The games people play," one of my favorite songs from the 60's. I am sad to hear of Joe south's passing. May he rest in peace.
