Back in the late 60's I was a college student in Azusa, CA, and was dating a girl named Jeannie Merritt (wish I could track her down so I could thank her). She played an album "Did She Mention My Name," by someone I'd never heard of before, Gordon Lightfoot. His voice, the lyrics, and Red Shea's guitar licks struck a chord with me (no pun intended) and I've been a fanatic ever since. "Mountains and Maryann" "Does Your Mother Know?" grabbed me as well, great arrangements. And it's been an over 40 year journey together since then.
