i dont' know what 'predicting it' means...maybe the songs?
i can't believe anyone truly hates the eagles or gl...one thing they have in common throughout the continent if not the world is that some of there more commercial tunes and simple arrangements are a learning ground for beginner guitar players or for folks who like to try sing and play chords or pick away...same for croce, taylor, s+g, blue rodeo, etc...
but i will say that i do hate those eagles tix prices (csny, fleetwood mac, pick floyd, etc) although from what i understand, henley and company's vocal range and tone has truly held up ...on the other hand they really don't move around the stage much (do they? perhaps joe does) whereas gord moves between 3 and 10 feet every concert!
