The audience was seated on their own chairs in a circle around a stage that was down in the center of a magnificent lawn surrounded by exquisite gardens. The band appeared, entered from above, and walked, single file, down a long path to the stage, followed almost immediately by Gordon, unescorted. It was about 7 pm, broad daylight, beautiful August evening, elegant setting, yet it had quite a different feel from the usual entrance in the dark with the lighting controlled. The five players looked like what they are . . . troubadours, walking in our midst. To work.

I think the date was Aug. 16th, 2007 and I was there. Your description of the entrance was perfect. I was in the front row and the evening was magical.
