just scanned through a recording of it all (actually i only set it for 3 hours so missed the latter stuff)

there was a woman who interupted a black guy during speech...she looked like Joy Behar but more annoying

there were only close ups of faces in the audience, not sure what was with all the long and medium shots of folks on stage...maybe they have a rider that doesn't allow closeups due to hi def viewing however you'd think all the pounds of makeup would hide any craters...imo, that Bullock would look better in natural tones to suit her apparent down to earth vibe

i only saw one nominated film (besides Up) and it was Hurt Locker...i hope there is something more entertaining out there...i found the editing clever...the character development never worked for me...i did like that i had not seen those actors before...the one fella has quite a trademark nose

to me it's always shameful the way they fly through the In Memorium segment whereas musical numbers are so drawn (rhymes with yawn) out ...i didnt' even see the names come up for the first few deceased contributors

maybe that's when the showed farrah fawcett...i recall her in atleast one film and thought they'd pay tribute

on the contrary, i don't remember michael jackson in films (other than a comp of rehearsal footage) but he made the cut

i'd appreciate any recommendations...was winslet in a film this year? she seems classy and gorgeous and one of the only women who still has eyebrows (besides rachel weiss)

colin firth seems like a handsome chap

based on the snippets, i think i'll see avatar without the special glasses...it looks quite visually busy...won't it make my brown eyes blue?
