Default Re: Lightfoot Celebration at Hugh's Room - night one-Jan.22-10

i expected a stellar write up but this surpassed my great expectations!

wonderful to read about you getting the well deserved shout out, bravo

didnt see a pic of sheilagh, i will have to click thru em all again, with pleasure

it was nice to hear that GL dug the cullen auto harp and harmony arrangement of SFAWN from last year...that treatment has occupied my mind off and on throughout this past year, especially the staggered harmonies and the chant of the fiddle coming and going

so good to hear the large void left by anne lindsay was filled ...i wish she was actually part of the GL orchestra...what tasteful, additional hues or instrumentation (and harmony!!!) she could add to the Lightfoot live painting

one note: i believe there has been a keyboard up there each year, no

my loss for missing out on another year...i still have the warmth from that inaugural 2003 show (when we werent at all certain if Gord had a future at all) running through me and your thorough and passionate reviews always take it up another degree or three

i didnt know this years roster so well so thanks for the links as always!

when did mad become madison, why is the sky blue, i am full of questions

THAT pic of DavidN + Gord is really a dandy...great visages, a pro snap

hey, i see David has some of his old blog reports posted at his website

now, get that pic of you+GL enlarged and up on your wall of Char+Gord classics

great read, great night, am sure the liquor tasted good, ok, wine.. cheers, jim

ps) River of Light, Bells of the Evening, Yarmouth Castle...i just love to hear about these fresh adds...hey, I hope your shoe cam audio captured your soothing vocals during TIYS
