thanks, i didn't realize that was a fact and had just asked this last week

does it relate to maintaining perfection?...we've had a discussion (Diane?) about this and my thinking was it would be cinch to move the capo down a fret or two as needed...it wouldnt affect 'voicings' or Barry and Rick, Terry and Mike would be affected from minimal to larger degrees depending on the tune(s) in question...i think they would find the rework actually refreshing and i think they would not be too bothered by the task...they are pretty skilled guys...great question for Gord...but i think his rearranging of the melody works fine and i find it refreshing so no complaints here (other than the 90% same setlist over past 5-15 years)...i like hearing songs in the keys written and recorded in but i don't think a 'lowering' would detract from perfection...maybe we've got it all wrong, his voice sounds more nasal but lower, maybe it's actually got higher...i think it's more a diaphragm issue

btw, i think pasting links works good, but if char hadn't stumbled on your blog and created a new thread of it here, then i and many others wouldnt have even read your posting, let alone clicked on a link to your site...so i think she did you a service...bottom line: i'm glad you're now a card carrying member...bottom line#2, Gord still rocks
