Default Re: Gordon Waller of 'Peter & Gordon' Dies

Another sad report from the world of music. One ofthe very first records I heard when I was little was my parents copy of the Peter & Gordon single "Lady Godiva". I thought the music was funny even if I didn't get the reference then.

What I like more though was it's flipside,"Morning's Calling" a dramatic almost rock-like song about a young person who runs from problems, apperently stays out all night also, instead of dealing with situations. Both songs arefrom the "Lady Godiva" album.

Of course the big #1 was the Lennon/McCartney penned "A World Without Love" from 1964. Which I bought 20 years ago myself.

I had been working on geting all ten of their hits but only have found five. Now I really must get the remaining five.

Rest in peace Mr. Waller. I thank you and your partner for beiong an early part of my later love of music. Thank you for "Morning's Calling" especially.
