Default Re: Great Vintage Lightfoot Video

jjo, pasted below is from another recent post...RJ needs to know we have room and time to take in his 2 or 3 pages more of 60s anecdotes! he was at the Stompin Tom taping at the Horseshoe also...I wouldnt be surprised if he was at Newport when Gord laid down his set (and Bob went eclectic, err electric)

We were lucky enough to be seated directly in front of the band and it was that night he sang "Face of a Thousand People" which I'd never heard before but was immediately hooked on that song.

Reading the lyrics it's not to difficult to see that this man was ahead of his time.

The Lightfoot era was in full swing then so it really was a mind blowing experience just being there.

It was a time when the bar, coffee house scene was exiting and the concert hall experience was being born for Gordon Lightfoot and us all.

Of course at that time and living in Toronto there' a host of other memories that I can relate to but we'd probably need to go into page 2 and maybe 3 to get them all in.

Cheers, RJ.

ok question:

how may other video sites like youtube, daily motion are out there? any pros or cons to each?

note: the Softly, For Lovin Me and Ribbon of Darkness clips from the Cash show are still up at youtube...Gord has that same hair (needing some cream rinse, no?)
