Just wanted to say hello and I finally felt up to reading through some posts -glad to see a lot of folks getting to the concerts and having a good time . The last concert I went to was in Sept., and I knew that may most likely be the last one for awhile since this year is a big one with my son graduating from college . And I had been feeling rundown with medical stuff and career issues too much to plan ahead for doing anything fun. Don't even know if I can make any concerts when Gordon tours nearby here since during that time we'll be busy moving, getting settled in and new jobs, etc. I've been hoping/trying to see if I can get to at least one concert before I get more busy with all this!!!

Some light at the end of the tunnel for me soon I HOPE already!!! I have been tolerating some discomfort and swelling on 1/2 my face for a looooong time and always so miserable. Was disagnosed/treated for a root abscess over a year ago...but my new dentist didn't get around to pulling the broken tooth until October! But the pain from my nose, my lower cheek to my ear and the swelling continued on since. Knew I had a sinus infection but I waited until it got REALLY bad before doing anything about it. My head is remarkably clear now haha what a difference! But the other symptoms have continued on .

ok let me end this -last week a 2nd dentist found the problem is from the front half of another tooth and I'll be getting a temp cap tomorrow. Appointment #20. Yep! My 20th dentist appointment since this whole thing started!!! I've been more in pain since the tooth was worked on last week, but it's not so bad I can't tolerate it but it does make me miserable still so I haven't wanted to be around anyone . I've gotten out 3 times this winter -2 of those were just last week!!!

Been trying to quit smoking too so grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!

Will try to get back here when I'm in better spirits!!! I hope everyone is well and take care!!!

Oh you poor kid you! I know exactly how awful it is to have an abcessed tooth. I had to take antibiotics for a while before the dentist could even examine it, and when he did, he took it out that day. The next time I had a tooth like that worked on, though, the dentist turned out to be the type that had all the bedside manners & sympathy of a bed of nails!Anyway, it's actually a good thing that you're trying to quit smoking, as it may make any future visits to the dentist a great deal easier on your body. Since I've never smoked myself, nor do I drink, the strongest painkiller I've ever taken for a tooth extraction has been Extra Strength Tylenol. I made the mistake one time of taking half of a Lorcet & the damn thing knocked me on my fat keister for a day & a half! So I wish you a lot of luck in your efforts to stop smoking.
