Hope you're a fast healer! When my daughter had her wrist in a cast we used the long plastic sleeves that our newspapers came in to keep it dry (fasten with rubber bands at the top - if you can!)

So sorry to hear about the anesthesia. The only time I had a problem was during delivery of my second child when the nurse anesthetist gave me Stadol in my IV to reduce pain. I didn't even know I was getting it. My first indication of trouble was en route to recovery when I felt myself "graying out" and handed our daughter to my husband, saying "I think I'm going to pass out." They thought I was hemorrhaging internally or something because my blood pressure - never high anyway - dropped like a rock. I have vague memories of my mother standing in the doorway and I was told (after the fact, thank goodness) that our parish priest stopped by as well. It took about 8 hours for it to clear out. I found out later that at least 2 of my sisters have similar anesthesia issues. Needless to say ALL my doctors know not to use Stadol for anything.
