I'm with you 100% there. At our house, while there wasn't a whole lot of room at the table, there was more than enough space all over the livingroom to set, and heaven knows that we had enough food to feed an army, practically. Now, as for the busy part, we did the majority of our holiday cooking the day before so that we wouldn't have to deal with tons of dirty dishes later. That way, if we had anyone to drop in, we could be better able to set down with them & have a proper visit. I don't know why more people don't do that.
