Boy was I proud of my transistor radio. First kid on the block with such a high-tech device. I was the envy of the neighbourhood. I still have it though I don't recall the obsolete make. Two-tone 'bakelite resin' plastic - orange and cream. Had a little metal stand that toggled out on the back. Real leather case! Boasted that it had, count 'em, three transistors. AM music, round the clock! Buddy Holly, The Honeycombs, Doris Day, Del Shannon, Patsy Cline Elvis and of course, The Beatles, etc, etc. Gord was just getting his start. Yesterdays iPod! Man, what memories.....
