That's not a lyric, it's a partial lyric, and completely violates the "dots rule".
Note: Ron I conflated you quote above just a tad to save some page space, only to blabberty myself on down below ! lol

Hey Ron, just wanted to give you the courtesy of explaining why Char did win correctly so, with :

Quote:
Char submits for Q169FRIENDLY, WHEN YOUR (....friendly, when your)(sic)
Song submitted: In A Windowpane
lyric submitted:
"Where will you be, my friendly, when your
Telephone ain't givin' out no calls
Database lyrics:
Where will you be, my friendly, when your
Telephone ain't giving out no calls
correct you got it Char !
Here are a little more extended lyrics, hard-to-believe breaking-up of counter-intuitive lyrics ....breaking up..by Lightfoot's hand, unless Wayne's World and ole' Francis (is he that Saint Francis of Assissi ? - I see that here and there on signs near churches I have no idea what denomination, its not germane to corfid, but I thought the stature we assign Wayne's Lyrics board is such that someday....he might be one o' them ) -is wrong - which I sincerely doubt , ...but its right, and thats why it was a tricky one, in fact I am amazed anyone got it off their heads.

At 170 clues now, I am having to, as I mentioned before (for accuracy, too to serve you guys well, after the first 2 mistakes) as I was saying after 170 clues, even with some repetition on my part, because I found that by coming up with clues off of the top of my head, I was getting them from the songs I LIKE..lol.... and not picking up enough UA period (which this song is more typical of why I do not like that period anywhere near as much as Warner/Reprise, except oh man some beauties came out of the UA period as you know, like CRT, Softly, SFAWN. Crossroads, you know the drill.

But with nigh on 300 ( plus Chateau Period.OOPS a slip on a clue for Q170)again lol) songs to cover in the game, plus rarities, I've had to to incorporate some partly unintentional glances partly intentional at Wayne's World for loading song data into my geo_cruncher_Light.(proprietary) program,; I saw all the UA go in anyway, and was able to keep giving you fresh material this way, as well as a larger untapped area yet to go of songs that I don't have pop in my head, that I do not like as much, personally, from 60's , 70's, 80's, 90's, & double-ought thru '08's. Anyway, the unconventional, but true, lyrics spacing of 'In a Windowpane':

Where will you be, my friendly, when your
Telephone ain't giving out no calls
And when the seasons come to haunt you
Will you still find the springtime in the fall
And when you're on your island
Will you wave at every ship that passes by
And will you feed a hungry man

as you can see, to my surprise as well, Char is right, and that IS the Song I had in database for this Q ! So, its OK. I appreciate the help in catching any errata, you've saved my hide a few times Ron, thanks.

I thank you, sir, now I'll just say goodbye
I'm too tired to tell if thats dis-associated from your orig quote, or a comment I broke up from the body of my comment to you in return...anyway, works for me
