It wasn't David Lee Roth

BRANTFORD -- It's tough to be in two places at once.
While newspapers, radio shows and the Internet had been abuzz at the news that David Lee Roth was rescued by the OPP in the Brantford area last month, in fact the man assisted by police during a traffic stop was not the rocker.
Turns out the real Roth was tearing up Madison Square Garden with Van Halen during a makeup concert on May 23. That was the same night a man believed to be Roth was in medical distress while driving in Oakland, about 15 km south of Brantford.
Roth himself issued a statement yesterday denying it was him.
Brantford OPP stopped a speeding driver that night and found he was in shock due to a peanut allergy. Two officers got paramedic assistance for the man. They'd never heard of Roth.
They filed a report, word got out, and soon the story was all over the Internet.
The OPP say they can't confirm if the two officers got the man's ID but, a constable says, "our guys did an awesome job" of aiding whoever he was.
