Thanks for visiting my Canoeing blog, 'Tails From The Paddle' John. I have a number of references to Gordon Lightfoot throughout the stories as Gord's music was my constant companion while canoeing through the wilderness imagery he often captures in his tunes.
While speaking with Gord in November of 2006, I failed to get the scoop on whether he too spent a sleepless night in Hornepayne Ontario, as I did, due to continuously shuffling trains in the CN rail yards. My story is presented as a chapter of the Missinaibi River trip.
My photos are resized, yet as they are an intricate part of my tales, I believe that posting them as thumbnails would lose the impact I desire. High speed dial-up and cable internet is the norm rather than the exception so I have no regrets in having a "heavily picture infested" site as you so graphically describe
I invite all to check it out and see how Gord's tunes wind their way through my stories.
Your blog is a nice touch to the Corfid experience. Thanks John
