Yes Yes Yes Mende there are dozens of programs available to record anything that is coming out of your computer's loudspeakers,
FROM your soundcard to your hard drive etc
I will try to cry out the basic research and experimentation ASAP to find how to use my favourite all can do audio program MusicMatch to record streaming audio. but that is not the point I was making in my somewhat technical musings.
This was that it might be that the original output from wolfgang's Vault would in fact have been from their library of 256KBPs mp3s
and that the mp3mymp3 as used by Mr Meason Jr would most likely HAVE been made from the stream as an all in one file in either uncompressed wav or compressed mp3 format and just possibly the same 320kbps as he usedfotr the mp3 set he subsequently uploaded to the file storage site.
In fact in the original thread at:-
http://www.corfid.com/vbb/showthread...light=wolfgang
Ron's son actually said
"
3. Now via mp3mymp3 you will have an option to save as mp3 or wave. Click on the button "save to mp3" or "save to wav". A dialog will pop up and you can name your file etc."
but he omitted to say if his original "all in one" file was saved as a wav or an mp3
However he continued
"
I have separated and made available via fileden the whole wolfgang concert in 320kbs mp3 file format"
which is obviously ambiguous but I took it to infer that he had separated the original all in one file first (in whatever format he had recorded it which I sensed was more likely to have been wav) and then encoded to individual mp3s at 320KBPS. Of courwe I could well be wrong there
(Although if he had started with a single all in one 320KBPS mp3 that would also have been separable of course)
I still would like to know if it would be possible to sniff out the site's library 256 mp3 mp3 recordings and download them directly
Although as I said the vault owners would presumably take steps to prevent this "short circuiting" of their paid download service.
BUt in order to be lijnked from the concert "play" page those mp3s must be stored on the Vault website somewhere surely??
I had in fact checked that page's HTML source code but found no obvious links
I had ended with my hope that Gunther who is a self declared audiophile would chime in because possibly he has already explored such a procedure.Meanwhile Kevin and other newbies the link to the older thread above will now grant you access to the set of 18 mp3s as uploaded by Ron's son starting at:-
