Default Re: Main Street busker dies at 81 !

Thank you very much Jessie J for putting this sad but wonderful story on here. I thought his guitar sounded really nice and he obviously was playing it in a tuning other than standard. He knew well the principle of simplicity and effectiveness. Buskers are among the most interesting people I've ever met, so interesting in fact that I joined their ranks and it's the most fun I've ever had in my life. I don't know any wealthy ones but they are abundant in richness that for sure and they all have their own unique way of spreading it around. Some buskers even get discovered. There was one young violinist who played in the market here in Vancouver on Granville Island and now does guest appearances with symphony orchestras around the world. Joni Mitchell wrote a great song about a busker called "Playing Real Good For Free." It's about a busker playing on a street corner who was playing so good she felt like joining him in a harmony. Very beautiful song. Thanks, RJ.
