Re: It's Too Late, He Wins
Err Umm Douglas your confusion is understandable because
the first United Artists album is usually refered to as simply "Lightfoot!" (from the album title printed on its sleeve)
and may never have been issued as such in the UK but later (early 70's) it was issued as "Early Lightfoot"
and I replaced a damaged Canadian copy of Lightfoot! with it
Later still in 1993 a UK company (BGO) Beat Goes On Records, as part of the world wide conspiracy to flood the market with
as many reissues and mixes of the five United Artists albums as possible, issued a couple of CDs
one pairing DSMMN and BHOE the other is the one you have
(and because Lightfoot! most recently had its UK issue as "Early Lightfoot" that is the album cover BGO decided to feature
on its double album CD
see:-
http://eil.com/shop/moreinfo.asp?catalogid=417851
for a picture and track list as you have already posted
This is therefore an entirely different "Early Lightfoot" as referenced in the Songbook track list
which certainly cites AME #7000 (1971) as the source of both "(Remember Me) I'm the One" and "It's Too Late He Wins"
The story is relatively well known that Gord disapproved of this attempt to cash in on his new fame after IYCRMM became the surprise hit. So he and then general factotum Richard Harison set to work with an axe

which arose after this axing subject arose here see either

album reviews are at both:-

anyway just what is on the AME album??
this composite that I saved from one of many ebay auctions reveals all
A look at the above suggested that AME is an acronym for American Metropolitan Enterprises Ltd and a suitable google revealed
a "Referenced Case" involving AME Warner Bros and
defendant McKinley Morganfield (a.k.a. Muddy Waters)

Plus another litigation case involving the Kinks at:-
