Default Re: Top 100 Canadian Albums - new book

Well I guess we can only expect as much from a 'coffee table' book. And a little contraversy only serves to sell more copies. Anybody here ever read Mondo Canuck [1996]? I passed the copy I had along to my son, but had scanned the pages pertaining to GL - attached here, not in order and don't know if they'll be readable. It's a synopsis of Canadian performers, not just music.

I agree with Paul, that Neil Young isn't much of a singer, though he has sang very, very much. His style, quality of voice is distinct, and is why I like it. He's an excellent musician, songwriter, performer. Lightfoot's voice is without a question, far superior.

And Cohen is an excellent composer -so isn't Lightfoot. I hesitate to compare their works.
