Apologies all, I intended to post this yesterday but work interrupted my good intentions. Thanks Yuri for the nudge. Mia sent the following:

<<Today I was finally allowed to see David at the hospital. He looked
absolutely horrible with tubings, cables and bandages all over him. He
told me it's not worth it, he would rather have kept the tumour, but I
hope he wasn't serious. He doesn't have much pain now as long as he is
totally still. He definitely feels better today, and the nurses had
helped him shave and he had brushed his teeth. I didn't stay long as he
soon got very tired.

They have removed the sensors they had put in his head during the
operation, as the risk of a bleeding is now very small. They had told
him he will probably be moved to the ordinary neuro surgery ward tomorrow.

I am relieved he is getting better, but at the same time I feel very
sorry for him as he is really suffering. He told me that now he
understands why everyone was so worried about the operation. He had
never realized it could be this bad. Maybe that was in a way good, as at
least he was calm and optimistic before the operation.

Hopefully he will recover quickly now. >>

Keep the prayers going and the candles burning.
