North Americans should be grateful that As Far As I Know there are no "Gatso"s over here.
You what!??

a Gatso speed camera
Named after their inventor a Dutchman named Gatsonides and made by the
Dutch company Gatsometer BV, founded by the 1950s rally driver Maurice Gatsonides,
These pesky devices have proliferated throughout the UK as a revenue raising method
Technical details at:-
http://www.radardetectors.co.uk/gatso_speed_camera.htm
I got caught once doing almost 90 mph in a 70 limit, fortunately it was at the top of a hill after the end of a section of dual carriageway (divided highway) where I had been doing over the ton.
I was reminded of these fiendish devices last weekend , when on a visit to our local "triple A" office
(American Automobile Association), I spotted a UK printed road atlas issued by the British AA
(Automobile Association) which boldly announced on its cover that it included speed camera locations
which must be illegal??
