I replaced the flappers in all four of my household toilets a year ago......after 20 years for 3 of them and 10 for one they were not quite as good as new and I haven't had a problem since. All sealed up and working fine!
Saved myself a fortune in plumbers fees too!
The thing I hate about the toilets i have is the outside design of the base that is all curves etc. and is a pain when cleaning....
