My husband, who is a respiratory therapist at Childrens Hospital in L.A., told me last night that there is a cure for Leukemia (can you believe it??!), but, it's not been approved yet by the FDA. It's still in the clinical trials period. So, hopefully, she's involved with those!!!

Remember, during the hootenanny thread, that I'd mentioned my mom used to take me to them (hootenannys) during the early 60's (I was a toddler, she'd just pack me along with her guitar), and all of a sudden I had this flash of remembrance -- I saw PP&M play at one!! I can't believe I just remembered that!! Talk about a golden memory! After all the music she used to play (Burl Ives, classical music, Renaissance music [she also was really into that and we went to the Renaissance Pleasure Faire every year], and all manner of folk music [I got her to make a copy of a songbook we all used to play from -- everyone in the family would play an instrument, we had all kinds, and, anyway, it had music in it from Woody and Arlo Guthrie, gee, just everyone, you know? It's around here somewhere...]. Usually, I didn't care for her favored kind of music, but, PP&M I loved! Whenever they did a TV appearance, we watched it over the years. They make me feel good, and warm, and... involved and caring, you know? I know you guys know what I mean.
