Hi

I was wondering if anybody knows whether Gordon approved the use of his tune 'The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald' for the song 'Back Home In Derry' that Christy Moore did. From what I've heard the words to Christy's song were written by Bobby Sands of the IRA. I've been wondering if Gordon knew who wrote the words to 'Back Home in Derry'. I don't really see Gordon giving permission to an IRA guy to do that but maybe he did.

Just curious.
