AAaauuuuugghhhhhhh!!!! I can't find the blinkin' thing again. That's the problem with browsing on the 'net. Weird thing is, I remember coming across it once before some years ago. It may be that it's an article that's cached on Google but no longer on Wayne's site.
The article opened with Gord driving his car to Alliston (40 miles northeast of Orillia) to a school auditorium set up with 2000 folding chairs. Tickets were $2.50-$3 each, sold out. He discussed something about the variables of lighting and sound systems, especially is small venues. There was also mention of a groupie, Lynn somebody (last name began with an A - Ackerman?? something like that) who turned up at every concert, wherever he played. His only comment on her was something like "I don't have time for her bag" (this WAS the sixties.) If anybody else remembers this, or knows where to locate it, let us know. There might even be a print or microfilmed copy floating around a larger library that keeps back issues of Macleans.
Crikey, I've looked for an hour to see if I could pull it up again, without luck. It's the Brigadoon of articles, appearing once every few years, I guess. I'll keep looking. If I find it again, I'll post the whole thing.
