so I dig out my vinyl copy of Old Dan's Records, took it to a friend's house where he still has a turntable, and had him copy the album on cassette so that I could at least hear it in my car (now that I am limited ti discs at home).

Oh joy! Rapture!!(Wasn't it the Scarecrow who said that first?)

From the first notes of Farewell to Annabel, I was transported to Gordheaven. Well I guess that I'm going to have to dig out East of Midnight, Dream Street Rose, and Endless Wire too.

I'll tell you what, though, after several years layoff, it's hard to describe the thrill of Can't Depend on Love and It's Worth Believin', two of my all-time favorites. "I spent most of my life outside. . . in the drivin' rain. . .". So lovely!
