Another comment that surprised me was

"Lightfoot was never what you'd call a charismatic performer. His manner was always laid-back-cool, letting his poetry and music speak eloquently for him."

I always found him to be very charismatic, and hardly laid-back-cool. He seemed very intense...a man immersed in his work.
