thx for doing the HARD part, john!
dunno if i can convey about a dozen years of toying with pics into a few screencaptures but let me put that on the homework list
i use jasc paint shop pro and adobe photoshop and apple final cut, depending...i think i had mentioned there was a trial version of PSP at tucows.com, that one's simplest, imo (i'm sure others here do this stuff to one degree or other with family pics

)
not much credit to throw my way, was just replying to Char's stamp 'design'

i did some other GL versions around Y2K when Can Post brought out their millenium collection but her idea (especially the train component!) revived the incentive to toy a bit more from scratch - i don't see post or postes on Canuck stamps, clarify??? i downloaded other's pic from the web to do this montage without asking so this is just for corfid fun, too much redtape to deal with when trying to 'issue' stamp designs, CD designs, video music licensing, etc, etc...hate that part! maybe Char's able though?
i'd do a 4 part GL collection using different gord pics from different eras and have Edmund Fitz, the Opera House and Massey as other backgrounds - but all GL fans should brainstorm to come up with a internet group GL stamp(s) - i put 58 on the stamp because i figure that's the price one will be by the time there's a Gord stamp, lol
should have a American & International version also
i don't like the bright red of the Canadian Maple Leaf flags i've seen around lately, they fade to pink, lol ...i fly one that's as dark and deeop red (like the Habs uni's)as i could find so i did the red-sepia washover on purpose, sorry if it looks like blood, lol
i also didn't see it necessary to put Gord's name on the stamp (not for Canuck's anyhow, we may have daft moments but we know who Lightfoot is, lol)
back to the original statue post by Bill, Terry Fox and Gord do/did look similar in ways, especially the curly golden locks era
i was all alone when i stopped at the Terry memorial site where his journey halted (it STILL hasn't ended

), if i wasn't in a rush i would have stayed quite a long while even though it was subzero... his effort was miraculous, as is Gord's recovery, stunning - these are 'real' stamps from Can Post
