all the MORE moving

btw, thanks for the tip, i tried posting again to ng but no go, the prob must with worm in my pc, or the mouse in my basement, lol (he comes inside when it's -25C or lower! )

hey janice, i will have to go to ed's site and hear Courses (i've heard great things OF it), i never knew that was a tribute tune

i also was just goofin of course with my parody tune (i got tired of parody pics i guess, lol) but i never knew that Carly tune was so controversial...hey, maybe they are all off track and it was actually about Gord when he was riding high in his heyday, lol

i just found the link with lyrics...

"You walked into the party like you were walking onto a yacht
Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
Your scarf it was apricot
You had one eye in the mirror as you watched yourself gavotte
And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner
They'd be your partner..."

... so now i've completed that first portion now:

"You walked into that tribute just like you were walking into any old pub
Your braces strategically placed over both shoulders
Your scarf it was green
You had one eye on Char as you watched Jenney with her 35mm
And all the performers dreamed that they'd be your duet partner
They'd be your duet partner..."

"You're SO humble, you probably don't even think this song is about you" ..,etc ala fini or dc el coda or whatever, lol

ok, i've solved the problem with the listener focusing on my problem with having far too many syllables by making it not rhyme whatsoever either...yup, a strategic distraction, one of my signature songwriting techniques, lol

ps) hey, the last original line of the tune talks of Saratoga! isn't that where more Lightheads did another fine GL tribute gig???

yeah, maybe that original tune wasn't about Warren Beatty or whoever at all! submliminally it actually WAS about Gord tributes...so there's no need for me to complete my lyrical parody after all
