I don't believe I have heard much in the way of publicity regarding his older children.. they have certainly kept a low profile. Although when I met Gord again in Nov 99, some guy in his 30's came out the backstage door who bore a STRONG resemblance to Gord so I am not sure if this was Fred or not. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't recall any mention of their names among the list he writes about in Songbook.
While Gord doesn't mention his two oldest, Fred and Ingrid, in the long list of people he has known and worked with over the years, he does mention them elsewhere in the notes of the Songbook box set.
In his commentary for The Pony Man, he says that he wrote it for his his kids Fred and Ingrid. At the end of that paragraph he shares with us some wonderful wisdom he's picked up over the years when he writes, "Kids don't really care what you do; they just want to be with you"
He also notes that the song "Fine as Fine can Be" is dedicated to his daughter Ingrid, who he writes is now in her thirties and has given him two grandchildren.
In the comments on this song he says "I haven't written songs for all of my children-not that I don't want to, but the song has to be right. All I need is time...unlimited time."
He mentions the names of his other four kids in that list at the end, so all of his kids are included somewhere in the Songbook notes.
