After I typed my previous response to Jennifer, I got the little book out, that came with the 4 CD's compilation.

And here is what he writes under, "Never Say Trust Me."

"Written for Kenny Rogers, but he decided not to use it. I was thinking about him when I wrote it. He had asked me to write him a song, but it turned out not to be right for him, and that's that."

What a good sport he is! I'll be looking forward to hearing the song that "wasn't right" for Kenny.

Boy, I couldn't imagine having GL write a song just for me and turning it down... Ah well, Kenny's loss.
