Rona, first, it's not ignorant to ask for something when you aren't sure...anyway, these are some of the words I know for sure, at least the first verse and chorus:
I was dancin'
with my darlin'

when an old friend

I know there are a couple more verses, but I'm not sure exactly how they go...this is the version played by a guy, and you can change the "him" to "her" for whomever is singing it...such as when Patti Paige sang it...back in the day :D
