Well Sparky that was a waste of wine! I had our customary Merlot and nary a drop was spilled. Yes that Terry plays a frantic guitar....quite amazing that he doesn't need oxygen when he's finished.
I remember last year when David sang Leaves of Grass - it was one of the 'teary' moments I had because of how sweet and poignant he made it seem. He finds a song just perfect for his interpretive style and nails it every time. I wish that every show had been recorded in some way.
OOOOH Deb - a PRESS PASS - wowza!!!
I thank you for your support! I enjoy writing up these reports regardless if anyone reads them or not as they help me in my moments of "forgetfulness" to recall what a magnificent time I had! lol
And wherever multi talented artists like those folks involved in the Lightfoot Tributes are I will try my best to attend their shows and support them however I can. Like David Newland says about feeling down in his latest diary entry on his website - this past week I too felt the similar pull of PMS - Post Massey Syndrome we have after a Lightfoot/Massey convention. And I am only a spectator! But the bigger picture of immense joy and pride I feel really is incredible considering that until one January night in 2003 I was totally oblivious to the many talented folks who also admire and respect The Man and his music.
