Finding a rhyme for polemic, nice try. Not much worse than a rhyme I heard in a Frank Sinatra song, The lyricist had rhymed splendour with window (winder). I cannot recall the title of the song, but one line went "my troubles came in bunches, I kept rolling with the punches".
I have been trying to write a lyric rhyming mullet with gullet, without it sounding stupid. One of my favourite Lightfoot lines is "Way up among the pines, In some hidden valley. Where the twirlin' river twines".
